# Keep Awake

Keep Awake stops your computer from sleeping, so your location keeps changing with the lid closed.

Open **Settings** > **General** > **Keep awake** and pick one:

- **Off:** your computer sleeps as usual.
- **Keep awake while location is changed:** stays awake only while your location is changed. If your iPhone disconnects for 10 minutes, your computer can sleep again.
- **Keep awake while GhostMe is running:** stays awake the whole time GhostMe is open.

On a Mac, confirm with **Touch ID** or your password when you turn it on.

> Keep your iPhone unlocked and plugged in. Keep Awake doesn't work if your computer shuts down or runs out of battery.
